A week at Rio Bravo is mostly about water — duck off the marsh at first light, dorado in the current after lunch. The perdiz is the part that is not.
It is walked ground: open country, long grass, birds that sit tight and get up close. The Argentine name stays because the bird is not the partridge you know at home — it is a tinamou, native to this country and unlike anything in the British bag. If you want one afternoon of the week that feels like walking a rough shoot with a couple of friends, this is it.
It is added to the week for 400 US dollars. On when it can be shot we would rather not print a window: the sources we have do not state one, and we are not going to invent it. Ask when you enquire and we will tell you where the season stands for your dates.

What Guns ask about perdiz
The Argentine partridge — a native tinamou rather than a true partridge, and nothing to do with the grey or red-leg you know. It sits tight in long grass and gets up close, which makes it a different sort of shooting from anything on the Paraná that week.
As an add-on to a week at Rio Bravo, at 400 US dollars. It is walked ground rather than a driven day, and it usually fills an afternoon.
